Amazon was struck with a landmark equivalent pay class action claim today, implicating the business of subjecting its female workers to hostile workplace and underpaying them, while paying their male equivalents greater salaries and appointing less work.
The complainants, Caroline Wilmuth, Katherine Schomer and Erin Combs, brought the class action on behalf of themselves and others likewise located, in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, and implicates Amazon of gender-based discrimination and retaliation, stopping working to offer equivalent pay, and infraction household and medical leave laws, according to the problem submitted Monday.
